Kids Classes
Our art classes are sure to be a hit with your budding artist. Through our creative kids classes and workshops we develop creative thought, inspire imagination, encourage self expression, and foster artistic potential. Each class is totally hands-on and led by one of our in-house artists or teachers. We are passionate about making learning and drawing fun for all ages and abilities.
Our classes are offered on both a casual and term basis and we offer a number of specialised workshops and school holiday programs.
School Holidays

After School Classes
Each afternoon our Brookside Art studio become home to groups of young budding artist keen to express their artistic flair. Each class explore a variety of art techniques and mediums through creativity. Our afterschool classes are suitable for children aged 5-12yrs.
These classes are all Drop and Go allowing you some time to explore the shops or grab a coffee. Each class runs inline with school term. Offering Casual, 10week or 6 week programs.
Saturday Mornings
Our Saturday morning art classes run in a workshop style and change weekly. In this class, each week your child will create a take-home art or craft item. Our classes run 10am – 11:45am, BYO drink water bottle and snack.
JNR Art & Craft Classes
Every Saturday Morning we offer a class specificall designed for our younger artisits. Totally hands-on, playful and creative. Suitable for children aged 4-7years, these classes are available sure to be a hit!
Our Saturday morning JNR Art & Craft Classes are run like a workshop, where each week your child will come home with their very own Materpiece.
This class focuses on social connection, developing fine motor skills, encouraging creativity, building self-esteem and fostering an appreciation for arts and crafts.
JNR High Art Classes
Do you have a budding artist bursting to explore their creativity through a wide range of mediums. From Watercolour, charcoal, dry needle felting and much more . Art Space Mitchelton offers a more advance class for those wanting to increase their skills ecpress themselves through many mediums.
This Thursday afternoon class is suitable for students in grades 7, 8 & 9. We can also assist with portfolio creation for students wishing to work on specific artworks or submissions.

We at ArtSpace Mitchelton believe that Art is for Everyone. Feeling comfortable and having a sense of belonging is at the core of all of our classes. We adjust our programs that enable all students to achieve an artwork to be proud of and feel included and valued. Each and every child has an inner artist!
All of our children’s art classes are designed to develop fine and gross motor skills as well as learning to be social and self regulate emotions in a supportive and nurturing environment. Learning art is more than being creative, it’s about being brave, learning to communicate feelings, expressing what is wanted of needed and making friends. All of which boost confidence and self-esteem.
For those student who may struggle in social situations or may need some extra assistance we are able to offer additional staff and or equipment to support their needs.
